To provide education and guidance to faculty and staff and consultation, facilitation, and decision support to IRB on regulatory and compliance issues pertaining to the conduct of human research.
Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in a business or health related field plus two years of related experience.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED: NA Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of human research policies, regulations, and procedures.
Must possess the ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral form and must be highly organized.
Ability to provide guidance and training to professional and technical staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES Reviews IRB submissions to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
Maintain and direct the flow of all IRB submissions, including initial determination of level of IRB review.
Identifies and recommends solutions to potential problems.
Provides education and guidance to investigators and research staff regarding interpretation of applicable federal, state, and institutional regulations, guidelines, policies, and procedures.
Recommends on how best to implement those regulations, guidelines, policies, and procedures.
Provides daily coordination and facilitates interaction between research personnel and the IRB.
Reviews IRB-related policies and recommends revisions or enhancements as needed.
Provides guidance and assistance in writing and updating policy related to human research protections and research compliance.
