The Fabricator Manager is responsible for the full range of tasks including fabricating, making sure all products go out with top quality and all hardware necessary, monitoring production output, supervise staff, and ensure that products meet customer specifications and quality expectations fabricating.
The Lead will assist department personnel with completing projects on time and according to schedule.
Work will be completed from engineering drawings, specifications, and work order instructions.
*Job Responsibilities:* * Assigns, trains, instructs, and assists operation personnel to meet production objectives.
Assures effectiveness, utilizing good supervisory techniques.
* Plans and schedule work for the shift for the best use of men, materials, and machines in accordance to the demands set forth by the Production Schedule.
Expedites "hot" orders, as necessary.
* Implements and oversees all production orders.
Identifies and resolves any production bottlenecks or variations from standard; refers recurring or more complicated problems to the General Manager.
* Assures the continuing training in safety practices and good housekeeping.
Administers and assures compliance with company and official safety rule.
Also, responsible for proper administration of other company rules and regulations as applicable (OSHA).
* Records and reports information on disciplinary actions, vacations, transfers, terminations, etc.
to provide complete and accurate personnel records.
* Cooperates with other company functions to expedite production.
* Maintains production facilities with assistance from Maintenance personnel.
Reports major maintenance problems to the General Manager.
* Confers with General Manager to evaluate effectiveness of the department.
Recommends improvement steps and helps to implement improvements.
* Responsible for the accurate recording and handling of hazardous chemicals within the department in accordance to the latest regulations set forth by the EPA.
* The incumbent is accountable for administering his area of authority with intensity, consistency, good judgment, and common sense.
He is to delegate this authority to his subordinates by teaching them the rules of good management practice.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.
