This position is part of our Signal & Power Solutions segment; Connection Systems business unit.
Summary (About this Position): We’re hiring an Operations Supervisor in Brookhaven, MS.
The Operations Supervisor provides leadership and direction to an operations team, including, but not limited to execution of the production schedule, management of planned and unplanned events related to day-to-day operations, quality assurance, positive employee engagement, team and individual performance management.
Your Role (i.
e.
Key Job Responsibilities): Cultivate a positive safety culture, and implement/enforce work safety rules and policies.
Model the Aptiv values and ensure team members understand and behave consistently with them.
Achieve business(safety, quality, cost, productivity, and delivery) goals by ensuring strict adherence to operating/quality standards.
Work closely with PC&L, Quality and other management staff to ensure schedules are optimal & achievable Control inventory & DIO to meet targets; maintain strict control to achieve zero premium, achieve OE target) Lead problem solving and LEAN activities/events.
Evaluate team performance and promote continuous improvement.
Evaluate individual performance and proactively work with employee to improve where needed.
Track attendance and provide timely feedback to individual employees.
Motivate direct reports through effective communication, training, coaching, development, and recognition.
Maintain good working relationships and communicates with employees, union representatives, and management team.
Administer company policies and the Collective Bargaining Agreement fairly and consistently.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Managerial responsibilities: Team of Operating Technicians on a 7 days on / 7 days off schedule working 7pm -7am Your Required Background (i.
e.
Must Haves): Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Manufacturing Management OR 5+ years in experience working in a manufacturing operation Ability to work any shift as dictated by the business; this can include holidays and overtime as needed.

Nice to Haves): Experienced in supervising employees in a union environment.
Experienced in supervising employees in a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office (i.
e.
Word, Project, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Visio, etc.
