CRANE OPERATOR - NCCCO - TLL cert

Duties: - Operate and control a variety of cranes and heavy equipment, including boom trucks, to lift, move, and position materials and equipment - Perform routine inspections and maintenance on cranes to ensure safe and efficient operation - Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries - Communicate with team members to coordinate lifting operations and ensure proper positioning of materials - Use hand signals or radios to communicate with ground crew during lifting operations - Rig loads for lifting, ensuring proper attachment and balance - Inspect loads for damage or defects before lifting - Transport materials to and from storage areas using forklifts or other materials handling equipment - Assist with shipping and receiving tasks as needed Requirements: - Valid crane operator certification or license - Proven experience operating cranes in a construction or warehouse setting - Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of crane operations - Ability to read and interpret load charts and blueprints - Proficient in rigging techniques and procedures - Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes - Experience operating other heavy equipment such as forklifts is a plus - Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
