A Master’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in a field of Agronomy, Atmospheric Sciences, Biochemistry, Biological Sciences, Business Administration, Chemistry, Earth System Science, Engineering, Environmental Biology, Environmental Health, Environmental Science, Environmental Technology, Forest Management, Forestry, General Science, Geography, Geology, Geosciences, Horticulture, Hydrology, Marine Biology, Marine Science, Mathematics, Meteorology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Natural Resource and Environmental Conservation, Polymer Science and Engineering, Public Administration, Wildlife Fisheries and Aquaculture, and Wildlife Management.

Five (5) years of experience related to the described duties.

A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in a field of Agronomy, Atmospheric Sciences, Biochemistry, Biological Sciences, Business Administration, Chemistry, Earth System Science, Engineering, Environmental Biology, Environmental Health, Environmental Science, Environmental Technology, Forest Management, Forestry, General Science, Geography, Geology, Geosciences, Horticulture, Hydrology, Marine Biology, Marine Science, Mathematics, Meteorology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Natural Resource and Environmental Conservation, Polymer Science and Engineering, Public Administration, Wildlife Fisheries and Aquaculture, and Wildlife Management.
*AND*
Six (6) years of experience related to the described duties.
*Primary Functions: *
* Assist with operation and maintenance of the state ambient air monitoring network.
* Operate and maintain air quality monitors and related support equipment.
* Conduct routine certifications, calibrations, and other quality control checks.
* Set up new or replacement monitoring sites/shelters, including monitoring equipment installation and programming and configuration of communication and data acquisition systems.
* Troubleshoot equipment and communication issues within the monitoring network and repair and/or replace monitoring equipment components when necessary.
* Inspect and maintain monitoring sites.
* Assist in the development and implementation of QA/QC strategies that meet EPA requirements.
* Assist in developing and maintaining up to date documentation and procedures for the ambient air monitoring network including but not limited to:
a.
Standard Operating Procedures
b.
Quality Assurance Project Plan
c.
Annual Network Monitoring Plan
* Assist with development of related grant workplans, resolution of network audit findings, and conducting the 5-year Network Assessment.
