Job Purpose
The Avionics Manager supports the Air Force C-12, Navy C-12, and Navy C-26 programs.
Per the PWS The Avionics manager must have at least 15 years of aircraft avionics maintenance experience with at least 10 years on King Air/1900 Airliner series aircraft, including managing complex aircraft avionics modifications.
The Avionics Manager shall have a minimum of 5 years of experience with electronic flight instrument systems including advanced troubleshooting.
The Avionics Manager shall possess a current Federal Communications Commission (FCC) General Radio Telephone Operator License.
Duties and Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of the Avionics Manager which can be performed without direct supervision include:
Communicates with PMO/PMA engineering, program managers, and logistics
Supervises Avionic Service Engineer
Manages and tracks Avionic Statements of work
Project manages STC efforts, this includes FAA, Subcontractors, Government customers, end users, staff, and management to include project plans, meetings, minutes, status reports, etc.
Bi-weekly SOW status meetings with Tinker and Pax River
Monthly Status Report
Cost/Labor monitoring utilizing SAO 06 reports and UltiPro timekeeping
Manage sub-contractors and OEMs, ensuring P.
O.
s are placed, estimated delivery dates are current, and tracking to receipt
Field Support – Troubleshooting, providing drawings, part numbers, and information as required
Write statements of work based on a request for a quote from Government PMO & PMA
Research and provide data to Government PMO & PMA in next-gen avionic platforms, expanded capabilities, obsolete LRU replacement opportunities, etc.
Monitor and ensure all 24-month ADC/XPDR recertifications are accomplished and the schedule is updated and distributed on the first Friday of each month
Key Performance Indicators
Amongst other basis, the performance KPI shall be linked to the Capabilities Program Manager’s achievement of obligations and company requirements.
It shall cover amongst others the following areas: Successful programs/projects delivery in terms of scope, schedule, cost, quality, etc.
Additional KPIs shall be developed by the Capabilities Program Manager, Senior Lead Engineer, and/or PMO management, subject to the requirements of the PMO and the business as a whole.
Work Experience
· 15+ years of Aircraft electrical installation, test, and troubleshooting experience preferred.
· 10+ years of C-12,1900, and C-26
Educational Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.

Position Competencies Required
Travel may be required up to 50% of the time.
