Reports to: Tool Process Engineer/ Supervisor/ and or Manager
Overview: Under the direction of the Tool Process Engineer/ Supervisor or Manager, functions in the production environment with the responsibilities inclusive of but not limited to: die changes, material changes, crane operations, program changes, die adjustments, record keeping and preventative maintenance procedures in a timely quality manner while maintaining a safe working environment
Responsibilities:
Operates and maintains robots, forklifts, hoists, and cranes to perform material movement
Enter program into machines as required from production control schedules
Confers with the production process engineer and production control to establish die change schedules and follows up to assure completion of those schedules
Maintains stable processes for injection presses
Compliant with all OSHA and safe work practices when there are die changes
Ensures Press parameters are within control limits
Make limited processing changes and record data
Collect or select samples for testing or for use models
Marks items with details such as grade or acceptance-rejection status
Compare colors, shapes, textures, or grades of products, materials samples to verify conformance to standards
Clean, flush, maintain, calibrate, or repair instrument or test instruments or test equipment, such as dial indicators, fixed gauges, or height gauges
Meet with department supervisors or other personnel to assess completeness, accuracy and conformance to standards and specifications
Must be flexible in shift assignments and ability to work overtime as required
Suggests and supports affective scrap and cost reduction programs
Support the implementation, achievement, and maintenance of the Quality and Environmental Policies and Procedures.
Education:
High School Education or GED
Experience:
Must have been a Group Leader KNA at least 2 years
Preventive Maintenance Knowledge
Understanding of Tool and Die functions (heaters, ejectors, watering, etc.
)
Knowledge of Windows operating system and with Microsoft Office Suite
- IJM: RJG Injection Molding Essentials Course (Site Specific TNMN)
Training Specific to placement in position
Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO)
Electrical Safety
Crane Safety Certified Training
Confined Spaces Training-Video

Must be able to lift loads up to 40 lbs

Work Environment: This job operates in a manufacturing environment, and routinely uses standard office equipment.
The temperature in the work environment can be hot.
The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud, but are compliant with OSHA standards
