Essential functions
Prepare various business-related tax returns and forms such as workers compensation audits, ACA reporting, etc.
Preparation of payroll processing, including multi-state payroll.
Prepare and oversee federal and state tax returns relating to payroll, W-2s, payroll tax deposits, payroll tax notices, and all matters relating to unemployment returns and withholding issues.
Performs other accounting and consulting duties as needed in projects and as assigned by supervisory personnel.
Develops and maintains effective working relationships with clients, including frequent face-to-face interaction.

Work to be performed in HORNE office setting

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Travel required
Less than 20%
Required education and experience
2 – 5 years accounting experience required – including payroll processing, payroll tax reporting, and journal entry posting.
Must have experience in processing a high volume of work
Proficiency in MS Excel and other accounting software required
Preferred education and experience
Associate degree in accounting, business, or related field preferred
Proficiency in QuickBooks preferred
