Summary of Position
The Director of IT Infrastructure will play a pivotal role in the strategic direction and management of our IT Infrastructure team.
This role is responsible for overseeing a team of IT professionals who manage our Microsoft Azure Cloud Infrastructure.
The Director will lead the transition to an Agile with SCRUM project management model, prioritize automation using JSON scripts, Power Automate, ARM templates, and drive the migration from IaaS to PaaS while embracing serverless and cloud-native technologies.
Additionally, this role will oversee the shift from Private Cloud to SDWAN, enable self-service options within the Help Desk, and leverage new tools like AI Copilot to enhance operational efficiency.
Essential Job Requirements
Leads and mentors the IT Infrastructure team, ensuring they possess the right skills and are aligned with the organization's objectives.
Collaborates with the CTO to align IT Infrastructure priorities with business goals and objectives.
Develop and implement plans to drive positive business impact.
Oversees the implementation, installation, and operation of information and functional systems.
Prioritize and manage projects to ensure successful delivery.
Develops and manages the IT Infrastructure budget in coordination with senior management.
Collaborates with consultants, technical personnel, and vendors to acquire services and products.
Enforces policies and controls for data accuracy, security, and legal and regulatory compliance.
Provides guidance and support to end users in software and hardware selection, procurement, usage, and maintenance.
Contributes to the development and testing of disaster recovery plans for IT Infrastructure.
Manages changes to IT operational processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Develops executive dashboards for management to monitor work progress and performance.
Required Education
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
Master's degree preferred.
Required Experience
Twelve or more years of field experience
Required Skills
Proven experience in managing IT Infrastructure teams.
Strong understanding of cloud computing, particularly Microsoft Azure.
Experience with Agile and SCRUM methodologies.
Knowledge of automation tools and technologies such as JSON scripts, Power Automate, and ARM templates.
Knowledge of serverless and cloud-native architecture.
Familiarity with SDWAN technologies.
Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
