POSITION: Log Yard Equipment Operator
World class lumber manufacturing facility based in Vicksburg, Mississippi.
Vicksburg Forest Products is now embarking on its next phase of growth with significant upgrades throughout the mill along with the addition of a high-speed chip-n-saw line, taking the mill to a production capacity of 180 million board feet annually.
Currently, we have Equipment Operator positions with great opportunities for advancement.
Responsibilities
Must follow safety rules and be able to work in a team environment.
Must have good eye/hand coordination.
Must have previous experience operating heavy machinery.
Responsible for unloading log trucks.
Responsible for loading log deck.
Must be able to operate a wheel loader in a timely and efficient manager.
Perform pre and post equipment inspections and report any findings to management.
Work in both hot and cold work environments.
Prefer a proven job history with longevity and exceptional attendance and safety record.
Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen.
Physical Requirements:
Move safely, quickly, and perform duties with repetitious movement.
Sit and/or stand for shift, reach with hands and arms, stoop, squat, twist, push and pull, maintain balance, bend at the waist, kneel, walk varying distances, and climb stairs.

Environmental Conditions:
· Must be able to tolerate extreme hot, humid, cold, and outdoor conditions.
Comfortable working in loud environment, around moving machinery, with vibrations and airborne particles (sawdust).
